Academic Academy

Campbell County Recreation Department is excited to to be working with Rustburg Middle School in their 21st Century Academic Academy. The Academic Academy is a grant funded enrichment program geared toward helping students acheive improved academic status in the classroom as well as help raise the school's benchmark for the state SOL regulations. Students recieve an hour of tutoring and an enrichment hour each afternoon Monday through Friday.

On February 22, the Recreation Department presented an art project during the students enrichment hour. Students were given the opportunity to showcase their artistic ability by designing a West African Adinka Cloth. Completed projects were hung in the school cafeteria for display.

The Recreation Department has enjoyed working with the students and hopes to attend again soon!
